I wanted a right tilt so I can add a sliding table attachment and make really clean face up bevel cuts on panels with the slider and use the contractors saw for the odd left tilt necessity. Looking at a Delta 3hp 10' unisaw it has the right side extended top. i would say its in good condition. mechanically its in great shape. just a little beat up looks wise from obvious use. I have no idea what it worth but i want it im gonna build a shop at home to work in . The guy said it wont give it away but make an offer.. I was given the impression that it was steel, I'm going to have to call back up and confirm. I'm not paying that kinda money for plastic!!!!! I made a mount for a 3hp motor for my old Unisaw. I used some big angle like 3x4 inch. I think I lost like 1/8" on cutting depth if any. You will have to replace the heaters in the overloads to run a 240 volt motor. I'm not a Unisaw fan, at least not a fan of the newer ones. Delta was forced to compete with the imports later in life and in so doing, they started to remove material out of the saws. Some say they hit bottom with saws that were labeled "Rockwell-Delta" but I think they hit it a few years ago when they seemed to lose their identity.

Delta does not make a mobile base to fit these older Unisaws, and therefore I am reviewing the above universal bases for my saw. Up til now,I’ve always crosscut my sheetgoods useing a shopbuilt crosscut sled. I’ve been considering purchasing the Delta 34-555 slideing attachment, but have heard equally good, and bad comments about it.
